12"x18" Pastel on Wallis Paper
As my friends and I sadly left Harbor Island to
return home, we pulled off the road by a fish camp
to take just a few more photos. This is a painting
of the marsh before we went across the bridge
to Beaufort, S.C.

SERENITY IN BLUE
"If you see a tree that is blue, paint it blue."
Paul Gauguin
I thought I would take Gaugin up on his quote and painted this
landscape using mostly shades of blue. I found that the color blue gave the painting a beautifully serene feeling and by using a touch of warm colors in the foreground the painting took on a warmer feeling.
