During our visit to Brookgreen Gardens we saw dozens of yellow bellied sliders in all the ponds on the grounds. This little fella was very curious and tame!
While on a recent plein air painting trip to Huntington Beach State Park in South Carolina, we were fortunate to view 2 red wolves that were enclosed in a wildlife refuge area. I chose to use a cool palette as the wolf looked so peaceful at rest.
This is a plein air painting done the same morning as the marsh painting. As you enter the park, one side of the road is the pond, the other side is filled with marsh grass.
Believe it or not, this rooster was in downtown Atlanta! Jayne and I wentto Forsyth Fabrics looking for roosters but they were not there that morning so we listened carefully and followed the sound of their crow until we found them!
ORIGINAL PASTEL PAINTING Birdwatching is one of my favorite hobbies when I am not painting. This Great White Heron was stalking his lunch as I quitely snapped his photo.
It was a crisp and sunny day as I drove around Wolffork Valley in Rabun Gap, Ga. The hay bales were every where as the farmers were taking advantage of the dry and sunny weather!
