C'MERE KITTY

This is a small pastel portrait of a friends
adopted cat.  She tells me that it is very
timid and mean.....I can't hardly believe that
a creature this beautiful could bite!

EMERGENCE OF ELEGANCE

My friend, Jayne, is a seasoned thrift store shopper.  She has an
eye for what something can be, not what it is.  On one particular day,
I agreed to take a quick run into one of the local thrift stores to see if we could find any gallery wrap canvas.  We found two that measured 24" x 48".
Only one challenge was facing us....these canvases were already painted!
So we decided that our mission was to re-image the existing art by incorporating the existing art into something new and fresh.

The original canvas was a horizontal painting of a still life of oranges....
can you find them?

WISH UPON A STAR

THE MOON AND STARS COME OUT TO PLAY

This will be the last Whimsey in the family for awhile.
I have gone on to make whimsical homes.  Stay tuned for
updates on the new creations from more recycled "stuff"!

CELESTE, EMPRESS OF THE UNIVERSE

Meet Celeste, another member of the Whimsey family.
She is full of attitude and fun!  She,  too, is made from recycled
and repurposed parts.

SUZI Q, THE SUNSHINE GIRL

On a rainy, dreary day I was in the studio digging through a bin
of parts and pieces.  Before I new it, Suzi Q came to life from the
recycled and repurposed parts.  She has joined the Whimsey family!!!

SPINNING WHEELS

Just too much fun today with lots of junk!  This
Whimsy is entitled " Spinning Wheels" because all of it's
circular parts still move.  Stay turned for more members
of the Whimsy family.............

THE SUN AND THE MOON COME OUT TO PLAY

Another fun day of making Whimsies!  One just can not
imagine the thrill of digging through boxes of junk and
creating art that puts a smile on my face. :}

This particular whimsy holds the key to my grandma's
old steamer trunk.
